According to the USDA/NASS Dairy Products Report, released at 2:00pm CT today:
June AMERICAN-TYPE CHEESE production @ 370.4 million pounds, up 3.8% versus June 2009 and virtually unchanged from the previous month (that compares with an average May - June decrease of 4.0% over the previous five years)
June CHEDDAR CHEESE production @ 286.3 million pounds, up 3.5% versus June 2009 and down 0.3% versus the previous month (that compares with an average May - June decrease of 4.2% over the previous five years)
June MOZZARELLA CHEESE production @ 290.8 million pounds, up 8.2% versus June 2009 and down 1.0% versus the previous month (that compares with an average May - June decrease of 2.1% over the previous five years)
June TOTAL CHEESE production @ 881.8 million pounds, up 5.2% versus June 2009 and up 0.3% versus the previous month (that compares with an average May - June decrease of 2.7% over the previous five years)
June BUTTER production @ 118.3 million pounds, down 5.6% versus June 2009 and down 9.3% versus the previous month (that compares with an average May - June decrease of 14.2% over the previous 5 five years)
