According to the USDA/NASS Milk Production Report, released at 2:00pm CT today:
July 50-state MILK PRODUCTION @ 16.480 billion pounds, up 2.9% versus July 2009 levels.
June 23-state MILK PRODUCTION @ 15.316 billion pounds, up 3.0% versus July 2009 levels.
July 50-state COWS @ 9,145,000 head, down 42,000 head versus July 2009 levels and up 20,000 head from the June 2010 estimate (the June estimate was revised up 3,000 head, making for a 23,000 head report-to-report change)
July 23-state COWS @ 8,371,000 head, down 26,000 head versus July 2009 levels and up 19,000 head from the June 2010 estimate (the June estimate was revised up 5,000 head, making for a 24,000 head report-to-report change)
