According to the USDA/NASS Dairy Products Report, released at 2:00pm CT today:
July AMERICAN-TYPE CHEESE production @ 368.9 million pounds, up 4.0% versus July 2009 and down 0.3% from the previous month (that compares with an average June - July increase of 0.1% over the previous five years)
July CHEDDAR CHEESE production @ 276.5 million pounds, up 2.6% versus July 2009 and down 3.3% versus the previous month (that compares with an average June - July decrease of 0.1% over the previous five years)
July MOZZARELLA CHEESE production @ 291.8 million pounds, up 6.6% versus July 2009 and up 0.4% versus the previous month (that compares with an average June - July decrease of 1.5% over the previous five years)
July TOTAL CHEESE production @ 882.3 million pounds, up 4.7% versus July 2009 and up 0.2% versus the previous month (that compares with an average June - July decrease of 0.8% over the previous five years)
July BUTTER production @ 111.0 million pounds, down 2.9% versus July 2009 and down 5.3% versus the previous month (that compares with an average June - July decrease of 4.2% over the previous 5 five years)
