August Cold Storage

According to the USDA/NASS Cold Storage Report, published at 2:00pm CT today:

                                 

August 31 AMERICAN-TYPE CHEESE stocks @ 624.6 million pounds, up 4.3% year-over-year and down 2.3% versus July 2010 (that compares to an average July-to-August decrease of 2.5% over the previous five years).

 

August 31  TOTAL CHEESE stocks @ 1,034.1 million pounds, up 3.7% year-over-year and down 1.8% versus July 2010 (that compares to an average July-to-August decrease of 2.8% over the previous five years).

 

August 31  BUTTER stocks @ 151.8 million pounds, down 41.5% year-over-year and down 21.5% versus July 2010 (that compares to an average July-to-August decrease of 10.2% over the previous five years).
