According to the USDA/NASS Cold Storage Report, published at 2:00pm CT today:
June 30 AMERICAN-TYPE CHEESE stocks @ 628.4 million pounds, up 4.4% year-over-year and up 2.2% versus May 2010 (that compares to an average May-to-June increase of 1.0% over the previous five years).
June 30 TOTAL CHEESE stocks @ 1,026.6 million pounds, up 4.0% year-over-year and up 1.0% versus May 2010 (that compares to an average May-to-June increase of 1.1% over the previous five years).
June 30 BUTTER stocks @ 197.9 million pounds, down 24.7% year-over-year and down 6.9% versus May 2010 (that compares to an average May-to-June increase of 0.4% over the previous five years).
