According to the USDA/NASS Milk Production Report, released at 2:00pm CT today:
February 50-state MILK PRODUCTION @ 14.768 billion pounds, up 0.1% versus February 2009 levels.
February 23-state MILK PRODUCTION @ 13.643 billion pounds, up 0.1% versus February 2009 levels.
February 50-state COWS @ 9,088,000 head, down 201,000 head over February 2009 levels and up 3,000 head from the January 2010 estimate (the January estimate was unchanged, making for a 3,000 head report-to-report change)
February 23-state COWS @ 8,318,000 head, down 168,000 head over February 2009 levels and up 3,000 head from the January 2010 estimate (the January estimate was unchanged, making for a 3,000 head report-to-report change)
